Meet our Master Speaker
Dr. Kari Williams is a Trichologist, Licensed Barber, Cosmetologist and Celebrity Hair Stylist. She has over 20 years of experience as a natural hair care specialist, educator and hair care products consultant. She is a Board-Certified Trichologist through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, and she served as President and Vice President of the California Board of Barbering & Cosmetology, appointed by Governor Jerry Brown from 2013-2021.
She is the creator of Goddess Locs, a natural loc extension style that has changed the culture of black hair.
As a highly sought after speaker, Dr. Kari has had the opportunity to work with a number of product companies including Shea Moisture, Eden Bodyworks, Sof’n Free, Curls, Carol’s Daughter and African Pride.
Her reputation as a trusted stylist has led to her establishment of relationships with notable celebrities such as Brandy Norwood, Ava Duvernay, Meagan Good, Keri Hilson, Willow Smith, Kelis, Halle Berry, Ayesha Curry, Chloe Bailey, and Ciara.
