Coconut oil works well for my hair. I used it mostly on my scalp after washing. It relief me of pains after braiding and it softens my hair.

Very nice to use as a detangler and also to put back some nutrients back into the hair. But cannot use in cold climates on hair because it solidifies. Maybe try find a way around that – thin it down.
